As a rep in our company I think I can give a unique perspective on things in the answering service and call center industry.  My grammar is terrible though as a few of my team members have pointed out. But that's life and I'm working on it.

Cell Phones and an Answering Service

In our company we are divided into teams of employees. Usually ranging from 4-8 people depending on clients.  Before I came to the company about 2 years ago, there weren't any companies doing it the way we do. Now everyone says they have teams.

Meanwhile every time you call your account there is yet another voice on the other end that you've never heard before.

Anyway there is this one client that we have that literally lives on a beach all year round. It doesn't matter what month, she is always on a beach, in Australia, Israel, Spain, France Brazil, Hawaii. She has to be one of the coolest people on the planet. Doing all of this traveling and enjoying herself, while running a decent company. Actually we run her company for her and she gets all of her messages e-mailed to her cell phone. She can just stay on the beach knowing that her calls are being answered and her clients attended to by our service.

There is this other fellow who just keeps starting up companies every 2 or 3 months, and our team has 4 of his companies already. In all different fields as well. He says that our company is like a miracle for him since staffing is always the biggest problem.

Expenditures and Rents Oh my

Since our service is a complete tax write off for businesses of every kind, I was thinking of the many beneifts that business owners get from using our services.

First off they save a fortune. Like the client I mentioned above living in a state of vacation all year round. She doesn't have to hire anyone, no benefits or employee pay and Labor Dept.'s to do with. Also she doesn't have to pay a stupid amount of taxes out. Many people don't know that there are many little things, like your Social Security taxes that businesses actually match. So if you see $150 stolen from you before you even get it, and going to FICA taxes,  the company you work for also has to pay $150 more in addition. It's called employer matching and every company in the United States has to do it.

I would rather get the full 300 in my pocket and save up for a rainy day than have a huge government agency take my money for my own good as they say, to protect me.

Give me a break already. How are they protecting or helping us by stealing our money at the point of a gun. I say that because if we don't give it to them, men with guns will eventually show up to arrest you. Tax evasion is a serious crime here, like in most countries.

Sorry for getting sidetracked there.

Other savings I would imagine is office rent, which would probably be substantial for someone starting up.

Then there is no need for a fax machine, as we e-mail the faxes to clients.  Sales - we do it. Website upkeep and live chat we do as well.  We are really a one stop shop for any small business.
