Will IP Migration Make Great Strides for the U.S. Government's Telecom Market?

PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The Information &
Communications Technology Group at Frost & Sullivan is pleased to announce
its Exclusive 2007 Quarterly Webinar on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at
10:00 a.m. CST / 11:00 a.m. EST.
The U.S. government market has seen significant movement towards
information technology advancement in the telecommunications equipment and
services it utilizes to serve its citizens. Government agencies in the
federal and state arenas are looking to hedge their current legacy systems
against obsolescence due to rapid technology change. There's increased
competition in the industry as vendors seek to gain contracts to improve
government IP infrastructures.
Highlights of the briefing include: an analysis of the federal, state
and local government's current telecommunications state as it pertains to
IP migration. Emphasis will also be placed on state and federal agencies
making the most significant changes in the IP migration direction as well
as their IT management and infrastructure.
"The converging of technologies is at the center of the
telecommunications debate in federal and state government IT departments,"
observes Research Analyst Doreen Natukunda. "It remains an evolutionary
process and agencies throughout government have started or are in the midst
of the technological shift to IP."
Those interested in participating in the interactive webinar should
send an email to Mireya Castilla - Corporate Communications at
mireya.castilla@frost.com with the following information: your full name,
company name, title, telephone number, email address, city, state and
country. She will send the registration details via email upon receipt of
the above information.
This briefing will benefit companies servicing the telecom industry --
particularly telecom services, communication equipment, software, telecom
conferencing, managed voice and data services and managed video over IP.
This will be done by discussing emerging trends in IP migration for telecom
services and providing some projections from a federal, state and local
level.
