IPEVO Announces New Desktop Internet Phone For Skype

San Jose, CA - San Jose-based IPEVO is announcing Solo.1, a Skype Desktop Internet Phone that enables Internet calls without using a computer. With the uniquely designed new Internet phone, making Skype calls is believed to be as easy as using common desktop telephone. Connection to broadband Internet is required.

Solo.1 features a clear 2.4-inch color screen that allows users to select contacts, add new contacts, and perform other contact list operations. Caller information and the remaining SkypeOut credit are shown as well. The screen angle is adjustable to make it convenient to view it from any position. There is a built-in speakerphone for hands-free talking. Three memory keys provide easy access to favorite contacts and four-way navigation keys make menu navigation very convenient.

The Internet phone supports automatic firmware upgrades through the Internet. It integrates a 2-port 10/100Mbps Ethernet switch in order to connect a computer to the network via Solo.1. As for the phone’s own network connection it is compatible with common IP address provisioning (static IP, DHCP, and PPPoE).
