Telephones and Cell Phones and
Rude People Who insist we have to listen to their Conversations
No
one alive today in the United States can possibly imagine a world
where there aren't any telephones, cell phones, VOIP and even Skype.
Most people could not function without the ability to instantly
connect with others whenever one wishes.
I remember not long ago when we all had
answering machines, and people were upset if they couldn't reach you
immediately. Today, in 2007 people would be a little upset if
they can't get you on your cell 24/7. Leaving a message on
your voicemail or answering machines seems like a 'lost' message
these days if you can't have access to that message immediately.
Everyone I know has a cell phone, yet I have
resisted the urge to this day. Why should others have instant access
to you at all times? That's how I see it, especially in light of
seeing just about everyone on their cells and at all times. I'm sure
you've seen the scene over and over where everyone walking past you
is talking to someone on their cellular phones. To me this is nuts!
Even in an elevator people are increasingly
becoming oblivious to others around them as they show their rudeness
talking on their cells forcing everyone else to listen to how well
their date went the night before, or their dinner plans or favorite
song debate. Do we all need to know this, or your evening plans?
Wake up already and get some damned manners in this life. Sorry to
be so blunt but facts are facts. No one is interested in your
conversation, so if you intend on having or discussing details on
your cell phone, go somewhere where I can't hear you, please.
